FAQ
What services do you offer?
We provide a range of renovation services including kitchen and bathroom remodels, home additions, and basement finishing. Our team is dedicated to transforming your space and ensuring each project meets your vision.
How do I get a quote?
To receive a quote, simply give us a call or fill out our contact form on the website. We’ll schedule a consultation to discuss your project in detail and provide you with an accurate estimate.
How long will my project take?
The duration of each project varies based on its scope and complexity. During the initial consultation, we will provide you with a timeline and keep you updated throughout the process.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve clients in Ottawa and the surrounding areas. If you’re unsure if we cover your location, just reach out and we’ll let you know.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, we stand behind our work. All of our renovations come with a warranty to ensure your investment is protected and you are completely satisfied.
How can I contact you?
You can reach us by phone at 343.997-5556 or by filling out our contact form online. We’re here to answer any questions you have!
Are you licensed, insured, and do you have WSIB
Yes, to all three. We are fully licensed to operate as a general contractor in ONTARIO. We carry $2 million in general liability insurance and all our employees are covered by WSIB/WCB. We will gladly provide copies of our certificates for your peace of mind.
Who will be working on my project?
You will have a dedicated Project Manager who is your single point of contact. On-site, you will see a mix of our own skilled in-house carpenters and tradespeople, as well as our trusted, long-term subcontractors (like licensed electricians and plumbers). We never use a crew we haven’t vetted and worked with extensively.
What makes you different from other renovation companies?
We combine full-scale project management with the precision of a master craftsman. We’re large enough to handle major home additions but remain dedicated to the fine details of a simple tiling job. Our clients choose us for our clear communication, fixed pricing, and our commitment to finishing on time and on budget.
How do I get an estimate?
It starts with our free, no-obligation consultation. We’ll visit your home, measure your space, and have an in-depth discussion about your vision, needs, and budget. Following this meeting, we will prepare a detailed, itemized quote that breaks down the costs, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Are your estimates free?
We offer a complimentary initial consultation to discuss your vision and provide a preliminary price range.
A planning fee is required for services that demand significant time, such as professional design work or a guaranteed fixed-price contract. Creating a precise, locked-in budget is an intensive process that we take very seriously.
This fee is not an extra cost—it functions as a deposit and is applied directly to your project’s total cost upon signing.
This policy allows us to dedicate our full attention to clients who are as committed to quality as we are, ensuring your project gets the detailed focus it deserves from the start.
How does your consultation and estimate process work?
Our process has two main steps:
Complimentary Consultation: We start with a free meeting to discuss your project, understand your goals, and provide a preliminary price range.
Detailed Planning (Fee-Based): For services requiring significant work, like developing professional designs or a guaranteed fixed-price contract, we charge a planning fee. This covers the intensive analysis needed to create a precise, locked-in budget.
The great news: This planning fee acts as a deposit. When you sign a contract with us, the full amount is credited toward your project’s total cost. This ensures we can dedicate our resources to clients who are serious about building a quality partnership.
What's the difference between an "estimate" and a "quote"?
An “estimate” is a general cost range provided early on. A “quote” (or “proposal”) is a formal, detailed, and fixed price for a very specific scope of work. We provide quotes so you have price certainty. The only way the price changes is if you request a change or if we find a major, unforeseen issue (see below).
Why is your quote higher than another company's?
We urge you to compare quotes “apples to apples.” A lower quote may not include things like permits, waste disposal, proper insurance, or high-quality materials. Our quotes are comprehensive and built to last. We don’t cut corners on the “unseen” parts—like waterproofing, proper subfloors, and safe electrical—that ensure your renovation is beautiful and durable.
I have no idea what I want. Can you help me with the design?
Yes! This is what we call “design-build.” Our team includes talented designers who can help you define your style, plan your layout, create 3D renderings, and guide you through selecting all your finishes, from paint colors to cabinet handles.
I already have an architect/designer. Can you work with them?
We are happy to. We can collaborate with your existing design team to provide the construction and project management side, ensuring their vision is brought to life exactly as planned.
Do I buy the materials, or do you?
Yes! This is what we call “design-build.” Our team includes talented designers who can help you define your style, plan your layout, create 3D renderings, and guide you through selecting all your finishes, from paint colors to cabinet handles.
I already have an architect/designer. Can you work with them?
Finish Materials (e.g., tile, faucets, lights): You can select these yourself, or we can select them with you.
Procurement: We strongly recommend letting us procure all materials. We have professional accounts and can often get better pricing. More importantly, we manage all the ordering, logistics, and delivery, and we are responsible for ensuring everything arrives on time and undamaged.
Construction Materials (e.g., drywall, lumber, mortar): We always supply these to ensure we are using the high-quality products we trust and warranty.
